Since the wedding is to take place on the beach, so there are waves, shells and palm tree in the background.  Oh, another interesting thing is the groom’s eye. That is what the bride want to be—a black eye. So funny.

I have this exact cake topper…i added all the crystals by hand

our cake will look very similar to this one except there will lots of apple red accents…apple red roses on each corner and on top so it looks like the monogram will be sitting on a bed of roses…the crystal cake banding we chose has both clear and black crystals in it…our them is apple red and white with black and white damask….and the crystal banding will be laying on apple red ribbon.

We’re rolling w/a Fall theme but with sprinkles of Halloween (getting married Oct. 29th) so this is part of the Halloween theme.  I’m sure my mom will hate it but I love it.

I love this bird cake! It’s not the correct colors for us….I would change the branches to a softer gold/tans, and the flowers will be lighter pinks.  I also HATE the nest on top!  What do you think of a floral topper?  Or maybe just a big spray of white hydrangeas?  I love the quirkiness of this cake.  Thoughts?

DIY fishing theme wedding cake topper features grape trees,  a little groom figurine and fondant lake and other cute background. The material of making such a great cake topper is really common. Trees are grape vines dipped in chocolate, and mixture of clear vanilla and food coloring are used to painting the little figurines. His fishing pole is a toothpick. Their cake topper was really gorgeous. You might think "holy cow, why did they use that cheesy cake topper?" at the first glance. But when you know the history about the cake topper, you will change your mind. This cake topper has been used in Chris’s family for ages! What a hoot! They paint the hair on the bride and groom to match the real ones! The the most important is that Cousins, aunts and uncles, all sorts of relatives in Jill’s family have had this cake topper. Some have added lace, and beads and such. It’s just SO sweet and warm and well, just so like Chris’s big happy family! She is from a really close family of 8 kids. This cake topper, to me, just really embodied the whole feel of her family.

And for me, I think this is not only a cake topper passed down by his family, but also a kind of special good wishes. I love the feeling so much.
